Dr Paul Finucane in conversation with Gemma Tipton, listen back
The Well Festival partners were delighted to welcome Dr Paul Finucane and Gemma Tipton for this year’s Festival Keynote Conversation: Why Arts? Dr Paul Finucane is a geriatrician, art collector and champion of the arts in healthcare. Writer and editor Gemma Tipton contributes to The Irish Times on art, architecture and various aspects of culture.
Here Gemma asks Paul about the significance of the arts in his life, in addition to his Union Hall Collection, an extraordinary exhibition of paintings by some of Ireland’s leading artists, which Paul and his wife Aileen have generously offered to University Hospital Waterford on a long-term loan.
