Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) is recruiting for three positions: Assistant Arts Administrator, Assistant Curator and Art Installer. All roles are based at the WHAT Centre for Arts and Health at University Hospital Waterford (UHW). Each role offers a great opportunity to work in a vibrant, forward thinking organisation and to gain valuable and rewarding experience in supporting the delivery of arts programmes in a hospital setting. The Assistant Administrator provides administrative support to the WHAT team in the co-ordination of the arts programmes of Waterford Healing Arts Trust.
The Assistant Art Curator assists with the management of the UHW Art Collection and with the planning, organising and installing of new exhibitions at the hospital.
The Art Installer has responsibility for the maintenance of the Art Collection at UHW and the installation of art exhibitions.
All of these roles play an essential supportive part in the delivery of WHAT programmes, enhancing the hospital environment and bringing arts experiences – music, art, creative writing, storytelling – to the bedside of patients at UHW and other healthcare settings, to promote wellbeing and to alleviate the stress and anxiety often experienced by patients, family members and staff.
