The Visual Time Traveller: an exhibition and talk by Alison Hackett at University Hospital Waterford
Alison Hackett will give a tour and talk about The Visual Time Traveller exhibition and book in the foyer of University Hospital Waterford at 1.00pm on Friday 16 June 2017.
The Visual Time Traveller is an exhibition of sixteen images from the book of the same name. It is a collaboration between the author Alison Hackett and the designers, Origin Design.
The book encapsulates 500 years of history, art and science in 100 unique designs. A visual walk through history in five-year time jumps it introduces a new way of learning and engaging with information. Woven into the illustrations each page includes twelve facts drawn from across the spectrum of human endeavour. By breaking down traditional boundaries between the sciences and art The Visual Time Traveller makes it easier for people to digest complex streams of information.
The exhibition is on view in UHW until Friday 25 August 2017. A further sixteen images can be viewed in Garter Lane Arts Centre from 17 June 2017 until Saturday 26 August 2017.
The book is available to purchase from the WHAT Centre for Arts & Health for €59.
