Dordán, a choir of 20 men from Waterford and the surrounding area, perform as part of the Healing Sounds in the Foyer. Kindly supported by AIB Ardkeen. Since its founding in 2014, the choir has gone from strength to strength. Led by musical director Damien Kehoe, the choir has developed its own style of performance.
Interaction between the musical director, the choir members and the audience has become the norm for the group and a repertoire to facilitate audience participation has been developed. The choir performs original compositions and arrangements as well as many well known pieces.
Audiences have been surprised by the variety of musical styles undertaken by the group. The music of U2 and Bob Dylan feature alongside Kedrov and Randal Thompson. Original music composed by Damien Kehoe and his arrangements of many other contemporary pieces feature strongly, as does Latin plainchant. The choir has performed nationally and internationally, and they hold a special place in their hearts for the city of Fabriano, Italy.
This performance is kindly supported by AIB Ardkeen.
